Our latest Asheville NC tree house is complete! Enjoy a few photos of the finished house – a fairy haven that will serve its owner as a studio and healing space. She’ll also be spending lots of snooze time in the loft. World Treehouses’ Adam Laufer says, “Creating this connection to nature right in the heart of Asheville was very satisfying for our team. Michael and I loved the unique challenges that this project provided, and it was fun watching people who were driving by slow down to look and dream of being in the trees themselves.” We’ll be posting more photos in the upcoming weeks. Our latest Asheville NC tree house is going up quickly! Here are some recent photos of our process. World Treehouses’ Adam Laufer says, “Each tree house is uniquely different. Our challenge is to be open and listen to our client, the tree, and the surrounding landscape. The tree dictates what we can build in it. We depend on the health of the tree to support the structure we create, so we are careful to disturb the tree as little as possible. The trees we’re working on for this project (Georgia and Winston) are both white oaks. One (Georgia) is very healthy and strong, and the other (Winston) had a previous wound. So we are only using Winston as a lateral brace to help support the tree house. He gets to be part of the party, but he doesn’t have to take the weight!” Don’t miss our upcoming photos! Building the dream! Downtown Asheville gets a new tree house. In this shot, World Treehouse’s Michael works on the foundation base for our new tree house in downtown Asheville. This studio space in the trees will connect via suspension bridge to our client’s house-attached deck. She is excited to watch the treehouse go up! She says, “Thanks, guys!
